Minecraft has a total of three dimensions. The upper world is the dimension in which the player starts. The Nether is a hellish world that can be reached through portals. The end is a dimension in which you have to defeat a "boss opponent", the Enderdrachen. If the dragon is defeated, the player will be rewarded with experience points. This is followed by a credits written by the Irish author Julian Gough, which does not end the game. In addition to the Enderdrachen there is a second boss, the Wither. This drops materials to build a beacon that enhances certain abilities of all nearby players.
